All is invited to discuss the topic. Astrology is the study of light ( astros-logos ). Darkness is every where and we see the darkness though limited cosmic lights. We all wish and try to peep into the future with the help of age old or new instruments. Innumerable disciplines like horoscopy to tarocard to lal kitab to parrot astrology has emerged as per paying capacity of the clients.
Now, what most of us wish from these preachers is :
1.What is to happen in future.
2.Whatever I wish, must happen in future.
3. If something happens against my wish, the astrologer must mitigate the same with powers, tantrums and other means.
4. Those wayouts must be in the form of SHORTCUTS.
Some of above 4 remain ready to pay considerably and most of them want it FREE.
Because many can afford many astrologers due to abundance of word power / money power / power apparent by way of being Justice,Minister, IAS,IPS and so on, they get many views and versions on same query enough to confuse and the frustrate the purpose.
Some astrologers are well-versed but rude and most quacks are soft-spoken and tell ways to mitigate the evil caused by planets etc.
There are no codified astrology, no proper degree holder astrologers like B.E, B.Tech,MBBS, MS,,HJS etc.
Now it is your turn.

ReplyDeleteAstrology doesnot need a B.E. or B. tech degree to prove its mettle. It was never considered to be a science of future telling.A native is influenced through enviroment, through society and its structure, through geography and its natural laws, through climate, through other human beings who live with us upto certain degrees. Astrology afford us a picture of ourselves, how we are structured inclding relevant portions of enviroment and can gradually give us a greater free will to operate upon.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the statement that "Astrology is the study of light". With that being said, I want to give a different perspective to the definition of "LIGHT". Light is not in knowing what lies ahead (that is FUTURE), light is living in current and shaping your future by your current/right actions.
ReplyDeleteAs far as currently what today's clients expect from our preachers is an easy approach which involves paying money to the preacher and getting a quick fix approach thereby avoiding any effort on their part. What they don't understand is that Astrology is not a magical tool and preacher is not a magician. There is no magic and there are no easy way out to change future. The only way that has been told in our vedas or modern astrology is in your own hands by changing your thinking or becoming more disciplined in what you are doing. Preachers can try and help their subjects choose the right path based on their horoscope rather than advising some magical mantras.
To conclude, I think it is the responsibility of the preacher to set the right expectation of the client to not to seek a magical solution to their problems and clients responsibility is to understand that there is no magic that can make them happy, though astrology can help them give choices but it is again up to them to make the most of those "Choices".
The Question still remains the same as to whether Astrology really helps one or the same proves to be a THUG-Vidya at last...

Most of the clients wish and try to get consultancy FREE. If its free, they can sit to hear all bogus / so called spiritual suggestions for hours. They simply laught opon it later.
Most of the client yield only out of fear or respect. The respect factor is rarely seen; the fear- generation is required if astrologer has to feed his dependants.
Astrology may be correct to the limit of astronomical calculations. All problem lies in interpretations. Both astrologer and client has their own limitation of interpreting and palating it. For some better version, clients visit another astrologer and get one more similar / varied / controversial analysis. This simply confuse them.
Furthermore, the same client visits Palmist / Numeralogist and gets much more confused.
The question is: Is there any single descipline that can really help the visitor without creating any confusion !
